BioPro IEX Q/S

BioPro IEX Q/S, which are based on a hydrophilic polymer with low nonspecific adsorption, are designed for capture and intermediate purification of proteins and nucleotides. High dynamic binding capacity (DBC) and high recovery allow fast large-scale purification processes. These media offers high productivity for industrial purification of peptides, proteins, and nucleotides, including biopharmaceuticals such as antibodies.

High dynamic binding capacity (DBC) and recovery

BioPro IEX Q/S have higher DBC for proteins than commercial ion exchange media. BioPro IEX Q/S are effective for protein purification during the capture step.

High productivity on purification

BioPro IEX Q/S show high DBC over a wide range of linear velocities, and the difference in DBC is less than 5% between 200 cm/hr and 1000 cm/hr. BioPro IEX Q/S give increased productivity and reduced cost in biopharmaceutical production.

Excellent durability under CIP

Cleaning in place (CIP) is an important procedure for cleaning and sterilizing columns used for protein purification. The DBC and the selectivity of proteins are unaffected following 20 cycles of CIP with 1 M NaOH. The high chemical stability of BioPro IEX Q/S allow effective cleaning with alkaline solution.

Suitable for capture step and intermediate purification step

Egg yolk antibody (IgY) can be isolated with high purity of more than 99% using two chromatographic purification steps, which consist of a capture step using ion exchange chromatography with BioPro IEX Q75 and a polishing step using size exclusion chromatography with YMC-Pack Diol-200.
